The mobile technology is moving at a rapid pace. Moving ahead in this race, LG has introduced handsets that will be equipped with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) technologies. These devices are LG Spirit LTE and LG G4 Stylus 4G which will give LG a first mover advantage in the 4G handset ecosystem.

The VoLTE smartphone will be capable of delivering the voice just as data flows within the LTE data bearer. As per the information I got, "A VoLTE device has up to three times more voice and data capacity than normal 3G networks and up to six times more than 2G GSM."

The VoWi-Fi device will benefit the user by enabling interoperability of a handset between Wi-Fi and cellular service. And so these devices will be beneficial to users that experience poor cellular coverage in their surroundings. That, I think, means that in case of poor cellular coverage, people can talk using Wi-Fi.

Speaking on occasion, Amit Gujral, Head Marketing LG Mobiles India said, "With the launch of LG Spirit LTE and the LG G4 Stylus 4G we once again prove our commitment to bringing the best in class products and experiences to our customers. These new devices are a must have for all those who want to take advantage of the 4G network. With Reliance Retail as our partner, and given its extensive network across the country we are sure that existing LG loyalists and potential LG customers who want the best, will be able to own these futuristic gadgets in outlets near them."

Both these devices will be available across India at various multi-brand outlets. To enhance the availability of LG Spirit LTE and LG G4 Stylus 4G, LG has partnered with Reliance Retail. As a result, both these devices will be available at Reliance Retail outlets as well.
