I ASK FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL MEDIA BULLYING & FEAR MONGERING TO PLEASE READ & COMMENT BELOW! There is an animal control officer in Canada who is spending his hard earned dollars in court to defend himself against a Facebook group of- well to be quite frank- bullies. Some people have signed a petition in regards to an alleged situation that they DID NOT witness. I have tried to keep quiet but I cannot- people use social media as a means to start a witch hunt. They know nothing about this m...an and how many animals he has helped. Its ignorance and I say that with no disrespect- there's nothing wrong with being ignorant, its simply a lack of knowledge. They have not witnessed anything that could provide them with a valued opinion about the ability he has to do his job. Nor has he been convicted or found guilty. Yet still some people have listened to gossip and chose to spread it further- turning it into a hatred that they don't even recognize. They are to far gone. And so they slaughter a man on Facebook and defame his name and breed more hate from the gossip. Its starting to make me sick because it happens everywhere, everyday people are using #Facebook to hurt one another. Read the news- its spilling over into real life. Do you want this man to lose his life? Someone to go 'postal' on him- or as I like to say 'go all Facebook.' I am not going to offer hatred- therefore I'm not going to name names or sell anyone out. What I will offer is insight and I hope those relying on a strangers 'word' or local gossip will take it into consideration before more victims of Facebook #bullying lose their lives. This #animalcontrol officer helped save my mom's #dog's life. He loves animals and you would not believe what he does for these animals. When my mom's dog was viciously attacked by another dog in our neighborhood my mom tried to tend to him. He became aggressive and bit her. When a dog is injured it is almost guaranteed to lash out and hurt itself and those around it. Certain precautions must be taken and that training is available to people who work with injured animals. So actions may not be understood by the general public- especially since most people are hyper sensitive. But the fact is if our dog had started to wiggle, move, breath differently, make a certain noise, pupils dilate or any behavior that he wasn't doing when we inspected him before trying to transport him we would have to act fast. It could be a sign of many issues including internal bleeding. So for an example to a bystander it may have looked like my mom had just shoved her dog- bleeding from the neck- into the car rather rough. But in actuality that bystander did not witness the amount of blood coming from the wounds increase as she held him that way, or his pupils get huge when he was lifted. The bystander would not have heard the breathing become laboured. What you do is PUT HIM DOWN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Its a perspective most will never understand. But I have seen the lengths that this man would go to for someone's pet. He even took pictures of our poor dog with tubes coming out of him, two milometers away from death to the owner of the dog that attacked him and forced him to look at what his dog had done. The pictures were extremely graphic but we insisted that man see them and our local animal control obliged. It was not necessary but it made us feel better. That was one of the many things he did for us.
Animal control is an extremely thankless job. Those who complain about it would be the first to complain if the position didn't exist in the first place. This man cant win. I look at my #pets and they have nothing but love. If only we could all be like them.
