Let Siri Play Your Music

Apple’s virtual assistant Siri can be used for a number of things – from posting your statuses to your social media accounts to researching facts and dictating messages. But did you know that you can also use Siri as your DJ?

Allow Siri to play your music!

You can play entire tracks, albums and even genres with Siri, without having to open your Music app. This can particularly come in handy if you’re in your car and want to keep both of your hands on the wheel. Here’s how to control your music selection with Siri:

1. In order to activate Siri, you need to hold down your iPad’s Home button.
2. Next, tell Siri “Play [song name]” or “Play album [album name] by [artist]”.
3. Siri will then start playing the track/album you’ve chosen from your iPad.

If there are more songs with the same name and you didn’t specify the artist, Siri will ask you which one you wanted her to play. If you want Siri to play a specific genre, just say “Play some indie rock music”. You can also get Siri to shuffle your playlists, as well as pause and skip songs by just saying one of these commands out loud.
