There’s only one logical conclusion when you consider my California roots and affinity for Lauren Conrad- I’m obsessed with braids! In my mind, the popular summer style can easily transition into fall. I love how a cool braid can still make my hair look on-trend without a drastic change like a cut or color- I’m a creature of habit after all. After seeing this post on one of my favorite Dallas style blogs M.A.S. Fashion, I knew I needed to check out the Dear Clark braid bar for myself.
As soon as I walked into the urban chic salon, I felt like I wasn’t cool enough to be there! Honestly all the stylists look like rock stars and the art decorating the walls gives the salon a fun, creative vibe. Did I mention Dear Clark regularly hosts art events with live music, crafted cocktails, clothes andfood trucks?! Count me in! The next one will take place on Sept. 19 in case you were dying to know. I also love that the Dear Clark founders, Holly Dear and Kaycee Clark, created a hair care line with only natural based and Texas-grown products. My dry and damaged hair (I have a love-hate relationship with the Japanese hair straightening system I do twice a year) thanked me after just one use of Dear Clark’s shampoo and conditioner.
At just $20 for a braid and $35 for a blowout, I know you’ll freak out over Dear Clark as much as I did for your next Boulevard or sorority formal. Be sure to ask for my stylist, Yessica. Thank you for having me, Dear Clark! I’ll be back soon : )
