Lesson 824 – Quotable Chicks

By Wendythomas @wendyenthomas

Friday’s Quotes for the Chicks

Consider the lilies of the field

This morning was the last early morning practice of the summer swim team season.

No more waking up at 6:00 a.m. to wake up 3 sleepy teens at 6:05.

No more sitting in my car for an hour and a half, nursing my iced coffee, while I read books and figure out what it is I need to get done for the day (write that Thank you note, see about getting someone to look at our washer, and get that interview article written up.)

Although I will not miss the sometimes surly teens (Mom, it’s *summmmmer-time*) I will miss the early quiet, looking out to the woods surrounding the pool, and seeing things like the Queen Anne’s lace above, and this little beauty.

State Champs are this weekend and then the doldrums of August begin.

Time to find another activity (but this time perhaps we can find one that starts a little later in the day.)

***

As always, peaceful weekend everyone, health and happiness (and safety) to your flock.
