Friday’s Quotes for the Chicks
Anonymous
Anyone who has tried to photograph chickens, knows that you need to take about a thousand shots before you can get a good one.
Chickens, like children on a Halloween night, cannot be still. It’s impossible. They move, cock their heads, and pay attention to any sounds coming from the woods, or the street, or the dog, or the wind.
It takes patience, as well as a few dried meal worms, to get the shot – that one photo showing your baby without his cowlick sticking up, or her collar turned under – that perfect picture destined to be immortalized on the mantel alongside those of the rest of the flock.
This was not one of those shots.
