Lenovo K8 Vs. K8 Plus Vs. K8 Note : Comparison of Lenovo’s Latest Smartphones

Quickly following the launch of K8 Note, Lenovo has released 2 new smartphones adding to the lineup of already impressive K series. These newly launched smartphones are K8 and K8 Plus. Both are priced a little less than K8 Note but have almost similar specifications.

So let's check out how different or same these three new Lenovo K series smartphones are.

Lenovo K8 Specifications:

K8 is a sleek-looking device offering good performance at a very budget-friendly expected price. It has a metallic body and 5.2 (13.2cm) HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution and 2.5D glass. K8 is equipped with Helio P20, 64-Bit, Octacore 2.3GHz, 16nm TSMC processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The internal storage can be expanded by 128GB using a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM phone, powered by an impressive 4000 mAh battery. K8 runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box and will update to Android Oreo. As with the higher priced Lenovo K8 Note, it too brings to the user a pure Android experience.

K8 Camera:

As for camera, Lenovo K8 has a 13.0-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash. It has an 8 Megapixel front camera, with flash.

K8 Features:

This budget-friendly smartphone also has Dolby Atmos for better audio and TheaterMax technology for better multimedia experience. When paired with VR glasses, the TheatreMax technology helps providing a big screen experience.

Lenovo K8 Price & Availability:

The price of Lenovo K8 hasn't been announced yet. It will be available soon across various offline and online retail channels.

As the name suggests, K8 Plus is a higher version of K8. The key differences between K8 and K8 Plus are in terms of Processor and camera setup.

K8 Plus Specifications:

The display size of K8 and K8 Plus is same. Both devices have 13.2cm (5.2) display. But K8 Plus has a Full High Definition display with a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass and anti-fingerprint coating.

K8 Plus has the power of a true octa core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz ( Helio P25, 64-Bit, True Octacore 2.6GHz, 16nm TSMC processor), with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, expandable to 128GB using a microSD card via a dedicated slot. Like K8 and K8 Note, K8 Plus too runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 without any added skin and will update to Android Oreo. It is powered by 4000 mAh battery and comes with a Rapid Charger.

K8 Plus Camera:

The biggest difference between K8 and K8 Plus is in camera setup. K8 Plus comes with a dual rear camera. This dual camera setup allows users to get better photos by tweaking focus, bokeh levels and adjusting aperture. This dual camera setup includes a a 13.0-megapixel and a 5.0-megapixel sensor at the rear. Aiding these two rear camera is a dual LED flash. Camera features include depth editor and depth-enabled mode in the photography app and the gallery.

The front camera of K8 Plus is 8.0-megapixel, with beauty mode, professional mode and an LED flash.

K8 Plus Features:

Lenovo K8 Plus too has a fingerprint sensor at the back. Like K8, it also supports Dolby Atmos, and TheatreMax Mode for better audio and multimedia experience. Like Lenovo K8 Note, is has a customizable Music Key. This physical key can be set to open any app.

Lenovo K8 Plus Price and Availability:

K8 Plus is priced at INR 10,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart.

Lenovo K8 Note is higher-priced than K8 and K8 Plus. It has a bigger display, more powerful processor, better front camera and a higher RAM/ROM variant available.

K8 Note Specifications:

K8 Note has 5.5 inch (13.79cm) FHD(1920 x 1080) display protected by 2.5 D Corning Gorilla Glass with Anti fingerprint coating. It is equipped with 10 core, 2.3 Ghz processor (Hello X23 (MT6797) 10-Core platform, up to 2.3Ghz, 64 Bit). K8 Note is available in the RAM/ROM variants of 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64 GB. The internal storage is expandable by 128 GB using microSD card. Both variants are powered by 4000mAh, non-removable battery with 15W turbo charger. Like K8 and K8 Plus, K8 Note too comes with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box and will update to Android Oreo. Launched in August, it is the first phone by Lenovo that offers pure Android experience, without any added skin.

K8 Note Camera:

Lenovo K8 Note too has a dual camera setup at the back. It has 13MP + 5MP Dual Camera with Dual CCT LED Flash. Unlike K8 and K8 Plus, it has a 13 MP camera at the front too, aided by LED flash.

K8 Note Features:

K8 Note also supports Dolby Atmos and TheatreMax and has a fingerprint sensor at the back for security. The device is splash resistant. It too has a customizable Music Key.

Lenovo K8 Note Price and Availability:

Lenovo K8 Note is priced at INR 12,999/- for 3GB+32 GB variant and INR 13999/- for 4GB+64 GB variant. It is available exclusively on amazon.in

All three devices have many similarities. They all have Nougat 7.1.1 pure Android experience and will upgrade to Android Oreo. All three smartphones support Dolby Atmos and TheatreMax and have the security of a fingerprint sensor. They all have 4000mAh battery and are available in Venom Black and Find Gold colours.

K8 has a single camera at the back while K8 Plus and K8 Note have dual real cameras. K8 Note has a better front camera. It also has better processor, bigger screen and a better build quality. Out of the three phones, it offers best quality, of course at the highest price.
