Two-time 2020 JUNO nominee and new generation Canadian pop star, Lennon Stella made some big moves on Valentine's Day!
The Oshawa, ON native continued her hot start to the new year with the release of her new single, Golf On TV (ft. JP Saxe), the announcement of her new album (coming soon) Three. Two. One., and her North American headlining tour dates that will see her hit stages in Canada and the United States throughout May, June, and July 2020.
First, let's get to the single. Hit play and listen to Golf On TV now!
Next, (though we are still hoping for more details...) is the announcement that Three. Two. One. will soon be released as Lennon Stella's debut album. We expect to hear Golf On TV and Kissing Other People on the album, but we don't know how many other songs will be included. We also don't when the album will drop. But we do know that when it does, we'll be excited to hear it as the follow up to her 2018 EP Love, me.
And if we're lucky, we'll hear more new songs on the Three. Two. One. tour when it kicks off in May.
The 29-date tour will take Lennon Stella through the US and hit five Canadian cities along the way (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Winnipeg). It's a longer run than 2019's Love, me tour that saw her play 18 shows in 15 cities. It will give more fans the chance to see her live. It will give new fans a chance to join the party. It will give us a chance to see how much Lennon Stella has grown in the last year as a singer and a performer.
The 2020 Three. Two. One. tour also includes her stop at Bonnaroo on Friday, June 12 where we have her pencilled in as a Don't Miss artist of the festival.
Related: Lennon Stella Opens Love, me Tour in TorontoIt's been fun to watch the evolution of Lennon Stella's career from singing Call Your Girlfriend with her sister Maisy on YouTube. We saw her with her parents and sister at Boots & Hearts in 2015. We watched her as she grew up playing Maddie Conrad on Nashville. And we watched as she became an artist all on her own with songs and EP and tour and career.
That growth and her exploding career have now earned Lennon two JUNO nominations in 2020. She's up for Breakthrough Artist of Year along with Alexandra Stréliski, Ali Gatie, bbno$, and Tenille Townes. As well as Single of the Year against Alessia Cara for Out of Love, Bülow for Sweet Little Lies, Scott Helman for Hang Ups, and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello for Señorita. It's impossible to know if she'll win either of the awards. But the good news is that her tour schedule is clear for March 15 when the JUNO Awards show brings bright Canadian talent to the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Here's hoping that she's able to make the trip to the Prairies for the awards, and enjoys every minute of the excitement.
It's an exciting time in the career of Lennon Stella. She's taking big steps, being recognized for her work and talent, and moving forward.
We've seen what she's been able to do so far. We can't wait to see what she's got coming next.
