“It is quite amazing really, while we were unloading the lorry I said to the staff, “These trees look quite tall this year”, and when we started to unload them, we realised how much taller they were!”
“We had to completely re-arrange the display area to fit the larger ones in!”
A fairly recent study by the National Christmas Tree Association, found that there are currently over 100,000 people employed in the Christmas tree industry in the US alone. Many of them will be hoping for a busy season this year, as the economic downturn shows many shoppers cutting back spending on luxuries, and you could argue, that a real Christmas tree, is one of those luxuries.
