What do you think?
I think it can obviously be argued that the dresses are similar, but we can not say that Murad has exactly coppied the piece, there are many obvious difference in the bodice, colour and even the shape of the petals, which would easily pass the dress through Copy RIght violation laws without a hitch. However there are no such laws when it copes to clothing. One designer can copy clothing designs from another - all too often companies go to court and get the case either thrown out or its the party that commit the sin of copying that wins his case as with Morgan who platanlty coppied a bag which was origonally designed by Velvetine.
As a designer, this is obviously a concern, but in the case of Murad/Dior where can we draw the line between inspiration & platant plagiarism?
