Before I met Lars, I didn’t think about traveling to Romania. I associated the country with mainly negative things: the Ceaușescu’s, the orphanages with abused and starving children, the infamous street dogs, … After my second visit this summer, I can only admit that I really have come to love Romania. Whether you are interested in culture, history, nature, gastronomy, … this country has it all. Yes, some of the roads are in a bad condition. Yes, some Romanians drive like crazy stuntmen. But you can find bad roads and drivers in other countries as well. In general, we thought the people were very friendly and there is so much to see and experience.

So, with a heavy heart we left Mugeni…
