I have owned quite a few German Shepherds, a Poodle, two mixed Labrador Retrievers, a Collie/Shepherd mix and one Chihuahua (and I am not crazy about miniature dogs!).
If I owned any other breed I do not remember or I did not know what exact breed it was at the time.
I have had a few cats during childhood. I am definitely not a cat person though. I would never have one for a pet as an adult, although some of them are cute creatures.
I love puppies and dogs, yes.
However, some people go overboard by drinking out of the same cup as their dog, taking baths with their dogs, and so on.
I myself do not even drink from another human being’s cup, I never have, except for during childhood once or twice.
When I bathe or shower, I am definitely cleansing within the water alone.
It is different when a mother shares the tub with her young child to wash them, keep them safe from drowning, and to teach and prepare them to sit in a bathtub by themself.

For me, some things people do are a little extreme.
I will kiss my dog and allow it to sleep with me, but any dog of mine will never share my bath water or drinking water straight from the same cup.
