I often have this request from people who want to learn to play the piano or keyboard fast. At the same time, they want to be able to read piano scores, so that they could try playing other songs by reading scores in future.
In other words, they want basic literacy in piano and music theory, to further their future interests. In fact, you can learn basic piano and music theory quickly. I’ve created a 1 hour course to learn the basics of piano and music theory.
I have created a page of notes and explanation on the basic piano and music theory for complete beginners. The course is kept short so that you can complete in an hour or less! This course introduces one to the basic literacy so that you can start playing the piano. Being able to piano scores is important, as it will allow you to learn the piano long term. It’s just like after you know the English language, you can go ahead and learn anything written in English since you can “read” and “understand”.
