Le Pario in the 15th: Another Surprisingly Lovely Meal.

By Johntalbott

Le Pario in the 15th has proven both innovative and consistent since it opened last October and today we went with two other friends from Northwest Mass sabbatizing in Paris this year.  While originally from Brazil, Chef Jacinto is more Christian Constant than Feijoada and the resultant meal is French-French-French, don't let anyone tell you different.

For firsts, M. le Prof had a tartare of bar and oysters; Colette had petit pois soup with dried meat and I had asparagus, artichoke and carrots with a tempured shrimp and a creamy slightly cheesy sauce - all winners.

Next up were:
- Lieu jaune with sweet potato puree
- Cod with hummmm, something
- Cannellonis of gambas and
- The winner is - My Rable de lapin stuffed with wild mushrooms and foie gras swimming in an intense dark wine sauce.

To round out the meal the ladies had and shared a compote of pears and apples with caramel sauce and a classic tarte tatin, both very tasty.

With 2 bottles of wine, fine bread, no bottled water but 4 coffees, our bill was 92.60 E a couple.
