LeEco (formerly Letv) is a global internet and technology company that believes in providing an internet ecosystem that comprises not just devices but also content, applications and platforms. LeEco started as a video-streaming company in 2004. Showing rapid growth and expansion of business, it is currently providing Internet TV, video production and distribution, smart gadgets and large-screen applications. That's probably the reason why LeTV changed its name to LeEco because it now offers content ecosystem, big screen ecosystem, mobile ecosystem, sports ecosystem, automobile ecosystem, internet financing ecosystem, and the internet and cloud ecosystem. All these ecosystems together combine to enable better user experience for the consumers. The company boasts of possessing one of the largest content libraries of movies, TV dramas, entertainment shows, sports and music.

So why am I tell you this? Because on 20 th January, 2016, LeEco has stepped into India with the launch of two smartphones ( and variants). As per the information I got, LeEco has enjoyed impressive success in China, HongKong and USA. It will be interesting to see how it performs in India as Indian mobile market is already very hot with competition.

One major concern that consumers have while purchasing an electronic from a new brand is regarding the availability of brand's service center. To meet this concern, LeEco is estabilishing a network of 555 service stations across India.

Other near-future content plan and strategies of LeEco include content cooperation with Eros Film Company and YuppTV (has 250 live channels in 12 languages with content including news, sports, entertainment, spiritual and kids) for providing the LeEco device users with more entertaining content options built right into their devices.

In short, LeEco has arrived in India with robust strategies and plans and some very tempting smartphone offering in the form of Le Max, Le Max Sapphire and Le 1S. (Posts about these smartphones coming on shortly)
