Layering Necklaces

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

I love layering necklaces. Back in the olden days before I had a toddler I usually wore two at a time. Much to my delight they’re still going strong out there among fashionistas who don’t face a minute-by-minute risk of garroting if they wear them. And while there’s a few different approaches to layering necklaces (long lariat + dainty pendant, choker + pendant, pendant + pendant, etc.) I like the small, delicate touches best. They’re my favorite way to add a little symbolism – your kids’ initials, your birthstone, your husband’s anniversary gift to you – or even a way to start mixing metals – white, yellow and rose can all play together nicely!

The best combos usually involve something antique or vintage, like the offerings at RLJ, plus something a little more modern, like fine fashion jewelry by Gabriel & Co. or Tacori (which DBRL carries.) I’ve compiled a few favorites today.
