According to the Panadura South Police, a shooting took place at around 10.00 pm at Panadura Silva road on Wednesday.
The police stated that the shooting was done by a lawyer and no one was injured in the shooting. The police say that the suspected lawyer and two other women who came with him have been arrested, and the 9mm pistol used in the shooting and the jeep they came in have also been taken into police custody.
Police also stated that there was no license for the pistol in question.
The police are investigating the incident.
The attorney had allegedly shot in the air following a dispute with a group of people regarding a loan.
