Lava Chennai spotted on Geekbench with octa-core MediaTek chipset. It might be the codename of the smartphone, it will launch with another name. Lava another smartphone Lava Bangalore moniker also spotted on Geekbench with the same chipset Arm MT6567V/CB. A reliable tipster named Abhishek Yadav shared the Geekbench listing of the phone on Twitter.

Lava Chennai spotted on Geekbench with MediaTek Arm MT6567V/CB octa-core chipset clocked at 2.30 GHz. The same model chipset is seen in Micromax IN 1B so it might be MediaTek Helio G35. But it may be possible that the smartphone may come with MediaTek Helio P35.
Lava Chennai Geekbench listing suggested that it will come with Android 10 out of the box. The listing also tipped it will come with a 2GB RAM option and other RAM variants may be possible. The smartphone is able to grab 154 in single-cores while scores 545 in multi-cores on the Geekbench 5.
As per the listing, it can be guessed that the device will come running on the Android Go edition and it will be an entry-level smartphone. However, the company hasn’t confirmed even the existence of the smartphone but it is expected to launch soon along with lava Bangalore.
