Late Reviews #1

LATE REVIEWSSo when I used to read a lot and I blogged sporadically, there were a lot of times that I wasn't able to review a book because I was always reviewing other books that were published more recently. I wanted to go back and give my ratings and a brief reasoning as to why I gave that book it's reasoning. So I'm creating a post called Late Reviews! This is going to be like my Series Selection and Oldies But Goodies posts. I'll do these whenever I get enough books to review, but I'm hoping I won't have to do these very often because I'll have enough time to review all the books I read!

These were books that I read back in spring! I was reading them faster than I could review them!

Incarnate by Jodi MeadowsRead: May 8th, 20124 starsThis book was originally rated five stars, but I just changed it to four stars because I truthfully couldn't think of a reason why to give it five stars! The one thing I really liked was the ability to relate to Ana, even though we had so many differences. And the romance was sweet and adorable! Can't wait to read Asunder!

The False Prince by Jennifer NielsenRead: May 11th, 20125 stars
This is probably my favorite middle grade novel after the Percy Jackson series. I wouldn't expect myself to enjoy an adventure/historical book like this, but I really did! I think I liked it because of Sage - his rebellious nature really intrigued me. Also, all the twists and turns - HOLY COW! I can't wait for this sequel!

I really like the whole idea of boarding schools, and the whole idea of boarding school gone bad is even better! The characters in this book was decent, but it was really the setting and the plot that raised the bar for this one! Towards the end of the novel I got more attached to the characters, and I can't wait to see what happens in Feedback!

Unraveling by Elizabeth NorrisRead: May 17th, 20125 stars
AWESOMENESS. I've never read a book like this, and I have to say this one really caught my attention. It was pretty much the plot that drew me in. The whole thing with the clock and counting down, and Ben's identity - GENIUS. And Janelle and Ben's romance - awwwww. I can't wait to read Unbreakable and be reunited with the characters!!
Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn ChildsRead: May 18th, 20124 stars
I just posted my review for the sequel, Sweet Shadows, a week or two ago, and you can tell that I liked this series! Well, I mean, of course I am. It's mythology, and if you know me, you know I like mythology. What I really like is the characters, and how I was able to relate to almost every single one of them. Talk about talent on Tera Lynn Childs part!
Everneath by Brodi AshtonRead: June 1st, 20124 stars
I'm almost debating on bringing this one up to five stars, just because of how excited I am for Everbound. But then I remember the beginning of the novel and how I really DID NOT like it. But I really like the overall concept of this book, and the characters are pretty awesome. The only thing is the love triangle could do without... It just doesn't seem necessary with all the other things already going on for Nikki.
