As much as I enjoy taking a #selfie, I don't really enjoy the visually-distinct puffiness under my eyes. I try taking pictures from different angles, but nothing seems to diminish the appearance of those under-eye bags. Blame it all partially on my instinctive alarm clock: that no matter how late I sleep, wakes me up at six, and the rest on the evil thirty. Thirty would just be a number for many; but all that you heard from your mom about how your skin and body transformed after thirty, starts to make more sense with this number.
If you look closely at my #selfies above, you might also notice a few lines and some underlying dark circles, other than the puffiness. Honestly, I knew this was coming and was preparing myself for this, much before I turned thirty, but despite all that self-intervention, I was petrified when it actually came face-to-face with me.
