Verdict on Ladybug
Ladybug is a horror mystery following a down-on-his-luck artist looking for a break. He quickly makes a new friend with the local handyman, but uncovers a much darker secret about his life.
This movie brings to life the idea of someone taking a break from life while uncovering something far darker. It has the connection which can help someone find a new way of life, along with the twisted motivation between the connections. This has a strong story idea, but sometimes gets lost in focus to the bigger story unfolding. There is too large of a focus on relationships and art, which holds the horror back too often. Even if the story focuses more on consumption somebody suffers through.
Final Thoughts – Ladybug is an interesting mystery horror thriller.
