While searching V and M for a glass table I came across a place that does wonderful custom modern glass tables. To my surprise they were located right here in Maplewood, New Jersey! I researched the establishment further and found that they also carried gorgeous antiques and custom iron pieces as well. I immediately called and made an appointment to meet with Proprietor and Designer, Linda Kennedy. L'Entrepot is located in a great brick carriage house in Maplewood, and is chock full of goodies that rival those that I have found on 1st Dibs, etc. I asked Linda if I may feature L'Entrepot on the Blog and she was delighted. Linda has given me a brief history about the store and I would like to share that with you.According to Linda Kennedy: L’Entrepot came into being twelve years ago and at that time it was a warehouse for cars and plumbing equipment. When I first saw the For Rent sign I was intrigued by the possibilities for a beautiful showroom.The existing beams and high ceilings were perfect for hanging chandeliers. With some power washing and several coats of paint on the walls, L’Entrepot became a reality. No longer would my basement be a storage place for the many antiques and quirky treasures. Over the past twelve years the business has grown from a very limited inventory to one of substantial size and variety.
