If you like beer and want the chance to get your hands on some goodies, then you’ll certainly need ‘one’ to say an awful lot more!

So let’s start with Murauer…

Murauer Bier

Set in the ancient town of Murau is the equally ancient Murauer Bier Brewery and fantastic tourist attraction – the Beer Museum. If you’d like to know more about the wet wonders of this Austrian ambassador for fine ales, take a look at this post about Shandy brewed specially for drinking during the summer months of fun and frolics in super Styria.

So now you know what Murauer Bier is all about, you really need to know about their Kronkenkorkengewinnspiel!

Kronkenkorkengewinnspiel

VERY roughly translated, Kronkenkorkengewinnspiel means….a competition!

Why use only 11 letters when you can say the same thing with 24? Because it wouldn’t be Austrian then, would it?

And what we know and love about the Austrians is they form a feast from anything. If you don’t believe me, check out this post about one of their favorite foods. And there’s plenty more where that came from!

But what you really want to know about is the Kronkenkorkengewinnspiel, isn’t it?

Actually, it’s quite simple – all you have to do is collect the corks from bottles of Murauer Bier. Any one with a winning number from the beautiful brand, as far as I can make out!

But don’t take my word for it, go visit their website and see for yourself.

What’s On Offer

For the lucky winners there’s a bevvy of breath-taking beers – around 200,000 bottles of it to be more precise. But before you get too excited, perhaps I should point out it isn’t a case of ‘Winner Takes All’!

These peachy prizes have to be shared between 100 or more lucky lottery players. But as they say – you have to be in it to win it. And even if you don’t get it all, you’ll have had fun collecting your Kronkenkorken, won’t you?

Closing date: 30.09.2012 – and don’t forget T&Cs apply!
