Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pamela Sywnford de Beaufort) will be joining the March for Elephants on October 4th in Los Angeles according to a post on her Facebook page. The march is one of many happening around the world Friday to raise awareness for the rate at which elephants are dying for their ivory.
The idea for the march was inspired by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an organization that rescues orphaned elephants and runs a rehabilitation program for elephants. Kristin also visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in 2012 during a trip to Kenya for her documentary, Out for Africa.
