kothu poori recipe with step by step pictures
this is my quick fix when i have some leftover pooris after making it for breakfast and always prefer some masala like what we do with left over idlis.I did not used any vegetables here and i want this simple and as usual masalas are added like kothu parota recipe.
I did not used ginger garlic paste as i did not want much heat in this season and i added just finely chopped garlic only in the recipe.I am little slow down this week and i will try to post regularly from next week.I got an idea from Akila's Kitchen .You can add vegetables and makes it more filling or make it simple as i done here.Lets move on making the recipe.,

- Left over pooris - 7 nos
- onion - 1 finely chopped
- tomato - 1 finely chopped
- garlic - 3 nos finely chopped
- curry leaves - as needed
- turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- curry masala/pav bhaji masala - 1/4 teaspoon
- oil - as needed
- salt - to taste
- coriander leaves - for garnishing
- cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon for tempering
- Tear the pooris into small pieces and finely chop the onions and tomatoes.
- heat oil in a kadai,then add cumin seeds and curry leaves.once they splutter add finely chopped onions and garlic and saute it till they get soft.
- Then add finely chopped tomatoes and cook it till get done.Add enough salt for masalas only.we added salt in poori ,so check it and add salt.
- Now add all the spice powders - turmeric powder ,red chilli powder,curry masala to it and mix it well.Add little water and cook it for 2 minutes.
- Then add poori to it and give a gentle mix.In this stage it seems little dry,so sprinkle little water and give a mix.Lower the flame and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes and then switch off the flame.
- Serve with finely chopped coriander leaves and cooling raita.
