Komola Kheer(kheer with Orange and Reduced Milk)

By Harini

Happy ugadi to all my dear readers, friends and blogger buddies:). May this ugadi bring in good health, joy wisdom and prosperity to you all :) As ugadi special let's dig in to this elegant dessert made with orange and milk.First time when I had this I was quite amused, how could one possibly mix orange with milk,I was so skeptical to try but once I tried a spoonful,no looking back. This has become one of my favorite dessert (is there any other kind of dessert for me :P). For a dessert freak like me this is sure a keeper, rich, thick and creamy reduced milk studded with fresh and juicy chunks of orange can never go wrong rite.Oranges are already my favorite fruit and I have a great weakness for milk based desserts. All you need to make this dessert is basic ingredients from your pantry, few fresh oranges and some patience. The authentic method calls for reducing the whole milk till it reduces to half which takes lots of time, here I have used condensed milk,so you can make it much easier with less time.Try this and you will be glad you did.
