THE SHOWS Knock Knock Live I was pretty excited for Knock Knock Live, Ryan Seacrest's live game show. I'd like to see Ryan's weekly calendar. How on earth does this guy have time for ANOTHER TV Show? I'll admit, he doesn't do too much in this one, just watches the video screen and proves he's not a robot by showing some emotion. I thought there'd be more game to this game show but basically it's just celebrities who show up at peoples homes and give them money, cruises, tickets to concerts and cars. All of them have been nominated by their friends or family but we were bored in the first 30 minutes and bagged the show for Deadliest Catch. Yes, it's nice to give stuff away but there has to be something to it like there was in The Briefcase. The show is live so the camera's are jerky, the sound's all over the place and the reactions aren't always TV worthy…except for Ryan who shockingly cries real tears. I'm out on this one. Something's missing for me.
Deadliest Catch
This season of Deadliest Catch has been super intense. The weather is the worst I've ever seen it. I'd like to see someone film the guys filming the show when the conditions are this bad. They have to be MISERABLE! It's cold and icy and there are 30 foot waves with no relief. Jake Anderson was on his first trip as captain of his own boat and sucking so bad he had to call Sig for help. Sig made him a deal that he didn't follow through on and got REALLY pissed off. I've never seen him like that before. Over on the Cape Caution, Wild Bill whose only good quality is his awesome hair, which stays surprisingly shiny and clean, was working his guys to death. He finally let them get some rest and while we were watching…he fell asleep at the wheel and a massive rogue wave hit the boat. Wait til he sees this episode. Bet his crew is going to bust his b@lls big time. One of his greenhorns hurt his finger and it got super swollen. Hate to admit this to all of you, but I actually did sort of enjoy seeing the kid squeeze the puss out of it. NASTY joy I'd call it. Happy to see Josh Harris finally out on the water and ON THE CRAB. His Dad would be proud.
Chrisley Knows Best Finale
I'm not sure why USA runs 2 30 minute episodes of CKB back to back each week and limits each Chrisley run to 6 weeks. I think I'd prefer it spread out over 12 weeks, but I'm not a television programming expert…or am I? In the last 2 eps of the season we finally had the most real episode in a while. It was Todd's birthday and Chase & Savannah relentlessly pranked him about his age. They whispered so he'd think he was deaf, they told him how bad he looked so he'd go get a face lift and then threw him a surprise party at a nursing home which seems like a pretty inexpensive party location. Note to self. Todd OF COURSE had the last laugh and faked having that face lift which got the kids back nicely. In the 2nd and final ep of the night and the season, the entire family, even boring daughter Lindsie, went to a dude ranch for Grayson's 9th birthday. Only Savannah and Grayson enjoyed themselves as this is a family that does NOT like to get dirty, work hard, or be outdoors. Chase was the most miserable by far. Gotta admit, they did dress nice for the occasion. Designer cowboy duds, sunglasses and shoes but they couldn't get out of there fast enough. The family is back in the Fall where we follow them all around London. Can't wait. I didn't LOVE this season but it did end on a high note. The Next Great Burger
After putting my husband through Odd Mom Out on Monday night, I figured I owed him one. Over on the Esquire network it was the premiere of THE NEXT GREAT BURGER. There is NOTHING my husband loves more than a great burger. Well…maybe me but it's pretty close. This show is right up his alley. 3 chefs compete to make the best burger. The hosts vote, then the audience votes and we all salivate. It's quick paced, there's trash talk, good music and great ideas for burgers that I'm sure my husband is going to add to his repertoire. Pretty rare but it happened. I got a "good show" from him as the credits rolled. Yeah! Love it when I can make the guy happy and we find a show to watch together.THE OTHER STUFF

-I don't normally talk that much about casting announcements, but for the Vampire Diaries fans out there who were all saddened by Jeremy's departure, good news! Jeremy, aka Steven R. McQueen is joining Chicago Fire this Fall. I may have to DVR it and FF to his scenes. I enjoy him.
-My boy James Corden did it AGAIN. For you guys who remember Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" video…you MUST WATCH THIS. James and Paula recreated it and it's brilliant. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmZTVXJxb9Q
