It’s been a long, long time since I’ve been able to shoot in real-time for my blog. Working 5 days a week as well running this here blog means I pretty much slot in photo sessions whenever and wherever I can! A spring revelation for bloggers everywhere though? The new spring and longer days.
kirei: 綺麗 (-na inflection, hiragana きれい, romaji kirei); pretty, pure, beautiful
Yesterday evening (so close to real-time T____T”) my sister and I decided to take a walk by the lake to shoot my outfit - a super relaxed one for a busy sample day in the office! - and to soak up some Vitamin D while picking wildflowers for our tortoises. I feel like all I ever do is talk about how much I adore this place, but it is seriously my favorite. There’s something so incredibly calming and serene about being by the water.
My outfit was a bit ill-advised to be cooped up in the office but actually worked well after hours. Truth be told, I wore this ‘Bonjour’ varsity sweater with my pink skirt and ballerina flats at work, but slipped into these really-old jeans and my shiny new TOMs desert boots for the walk. I love love LOVE these boots, while we’re here, a touch of comfort - breathable linings ftw - and a touch of that rustic country charm that I’ve never managed to get into. Just lovely.
Thank you for all of your super sweet comments on my blog recently! I hope you guys know that it never ever goes unnoticed. I love chilling out at my MacBook and reading through your lovely notes to me - they absolutely make my day! Smooches all around! ^_~
