Kesar Peda

Ingredients:
- 400 gm Soft white milk fudge (khoya)
- sugar powdered to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon rose essence/rose water(optional)
- 1 tablespoon slivered or crushed pistachios or almonds
- A few strands of saffron
- 1/4 cup warm milk
Method:
- Soak the saffron in warm milk.
- Put khoya on non-stick and heavy bottom pan over medium high heat for few minutes. Reduce the flame and cook till soft and gooey.
- Make sure to stir continuously, while on heat. When mixture is thick and gooey, add cardamom powder and saffron.
- Mix well, and take off fire.add rose essence and sugar mix well. Allow to cool, gently.
- Shape into desired sized rounds and serve.
- Store in airtight container.
