Kerala Style Mutton Curry

Lamb | Mutton  Curry Kerala style is a thick gravy where mutton is cooked in ground coconut and onion. The gravy is thick and rich with a blend of coconut oil. This goes well with Kerala Maata Ari (Brown Rice).

Ingredients:
Mutton- 1 kg
Coconut Oil- 200 ml
Chilly Powder- 5 tbsp
Coriander Powder- 8 tbsp
Salt- as per taste
Onion- 5 nos
Coconut- 1 cup grated
Ginger garlic paste- 10 tbsp
Method:
Take 100 ml oil and fry onions till golden brown.
Add shredded coconut and fry till the coconut turns golden brown.
Grind this to a smooth paste adding just 3 tbsp of water.
 Grind ginger garlic to a smooth paste.
Heat 100 ml oil and fry ginger garlic paste.
Add onion coconut paste.
Add chilly powder, salt and coriander powder.
Add cleaned mutton.
Pressure cook for 8 whistles in a pressure cooker.
 Serve hot with Kerala Matta ari choru and Chilly Chicken.
