Kelly Jenrette has been tapped to play the Sarah Jakes Roberts inspired character in the forthcoming pastor comedy alongside Leslie Odom, Jr.
Written by Saladin K. Patterson, the untitled project is inspired by real life progressive pastors Touré & Sarah Jakes Roberts. The show revolves around Omari (Odom Jr.) & Hope (Jenrette) who together run a modern ministry and share an even more eclectic and chaotic home life with a combined four children.
According to Deadline the series is being executive produced by Odom and Kerry Washington. Pastor Touré and Sarah Jakes Roberts will co-executive produce.
