From the pool to cocktails, summer is all about soaking up the sun. Even here in Arizona, as a whole, we are outdoor people who love to indulge in all the summer activities. So in honor of this wonderful sunny season, I’ve created superfood popsicles that are perfect for this summer heat.
Its no secret that Genesis Today offers superb superfoods with quality ingredients. So it was a no brainer that I would use their products as my secret weapon! For these superfood popsicles I used Organic Acai, Goji, Mangosteen, and Total Nutrition. These products not only taste great but reap awesome health benefits as well.
To start, all you need is a popsicle mold. You can find these on Amazon or grab some cheapies at the Dollar Store, whatever works. With these superfood popsicles you have the ability to make them as icy or as creamy as you would like. If you like icy popsicles then you can just use coconut or mineral water. Like your popsicles a little more creamy? Grab some almond milk. If you want ice cream on a stick then pick up a couple containers of your favorite yogurt.
Now grab your superfoods. All you have to do from here is mix together 1 ounce of superfood with 1/2 cup of your chosen base. Blend the ingredients well then pour them in the molds. Secure the tops or sticks well and pop in the freezer for an hour.
Once frozen, dip the mold into warm water for roughly 20 seconds. From here let them stand for a few seconds then gentle try to release them from the mold. If it is a struggle to get them out still then repeat dip again so that you don’t break the stick or handle off. Last but not least, enjoy your popsicle goodness knowing that you are eating up awesome superfoods to fuel your body.
