With the 2014/2015 season in full swing, half term approaching and the bargains starting to creep out in the sales, what could be a better time to start looking at new clothing and equipment for your children. Whether it’s for this season or, like many parents, buying for the next season, we’ve got some great picks to kit our your kids.
We have smashed heads here over at Simply Piste HQ and come up with a list to keep your little ones warm this year and help you grab a bargain for next season…
The Kebnat features glove loops on each cuff which will mean no more odd gloves!! From a safety aspect this all-in-one features reflective strips on the front and the back so when it starts getting dark you can still keep an eye on them. The Kebnat is also ergonomically fitted meaning your child will have overall better movement, and most importantly be comfortable.
The Hawking also uses a grow system which allows you to lengthen the arms by unpicking the stitches making it ready for next year. This is a brilliant feature for those growth spurts. You also still get the usual features, lift pass pocket, removable skirt, media pocket, chin guard etc. But another feature that makes this jacket stand out is the seams. They haven’t just given them a general taped seam, they have given it critically taped seams. This means that the jacket really can be put through its paces and it won’t let you down.
The jacket is covered in reflective elements meaning that even when it starts getting dark, your child can still be seen. The Shelter jacket is also lined for added comfort, is fully seamed to keep your child dry and has great other features like a detachable hood, adjustable cuffs and internal and external pockets.
The Buga set also features the amazing outgrown system which allows you to lengthen the hem on the arms and legs by an inch giving you plenty of grow time. The set is also covered in reflective detail keeping your child safe when it’s starting to get dark outside. Finally, it comes with cool other features including fleece-lined zipped pockets, reinforced cuff, seat and knees, adjustable suspenders and leg gaiters as standard.
The TAC 20 has a synthetic leather palm which works nicely with the relaxed fit to give your child better overall movement. And lastly you have a snap tech hook which will allow you (or you child) to secure the gloves when they aren’t being worn.
This salopette uses PrimaLoft insulation so you can rest assured that your child will stay nice and warm. The rider has a reinforced seat, knee and hem so you really can drag these salopettes about and they will survive. With the rider you also get articulated knees for better movement, boot gaiters and an elastic foot band.
If you are looking for a warm all-in-one for your little one then you really need to check out the Columbia Snuggly Bunny Bunting. The Bunting has Columbia’s Omni-shield which gives brilliant water repellency, stain resistance and also dries fast without holding moisture.
The Bunting uses 450FP down insulation so no matter how cold it is outside you can rest assured that your little one will stay nice and warm. The snuggly bunny also features fold-over cuffs on the hands and feet, which working with the down adds even more warmth for your child. You also get a fleece lining on the hood, upper body and on the arms for better comfort.
