Keep in Mind the Good Stuff!

By Arianel
Hi there Fabulous Ladies!I'm back - I spent my week recuperating from a minor medical procedure call Colposcopy -  Following a Leep last May for pre-cancerous cells on the neck of the cervix  -  I have to go for a follow-up every six months until it clears up -I'm now waiting for the results- I have 20% chance that it didn't clear up, if so, I might need another Leep to get rid of what is left of the nasty cells-But I'm not there yet, so lets not think too much about it -The important thing is that I'm cared for and have to keep in mind, that it's easily treated with the proper care -  But, I still have an issue with trust since my episode with the other physician who didn't do a proper follow- up -This is I think my greatest issue now - Trust - Thus, letting go to ensure proper energy in order to heal-I'm a great believer of the mind's power to help in the healing process-
I was well enough this Saturday to attend my beloved yoga class-As you all know I have been practicing yoga for a number of years now-Yoga for me is comforting and I felt immediately the effects of that class on Saturday-I felt my energy moving upwards and my trust grew an inch or two as well-
I felt less pain,  confident that I would be well soon, and had an overall feeling of inner peace -Yoga is for me a safe, warm, kind place to go to-
Call it my church, my safe haven, my link to life -
I never thought I would say that -
Not my type at all, but since I had my medical problems -
I see more and more the benefits of yoga -
During the procedure and after -

All this spiritual stuff said, I spent my week watching movies with my warm water bottle and popping acetaminophen every 4 hours -I was pleased to watch, BTW there's the positive side of the bad stuff for you!
Bernard and Doris - A movie about the relationship between tobacco heiress Doris Duke and her butler Bernard Lafferty Merchant and Ivory's Howard's End with the wonderful Helena Bonham Carter L'amour Fou - A documentary about Yves St-Laurent's amazing art collection which was sold upon his death by Pierre Bergé, St-Laurent's life partner - And last but not least! Fabulous Fashionistas

Fabulous FashionistasWell, that's a good dose of reality for all of usThis is where we are all headed and with luck we might be as fabulous as them Fashion magazines sell impossible, unattainable dreams of perfectionGlorifying youth - But you know what? There is good chance that you'll be old longer than you will be young! With all the medical progress and cures these days and for the futureGood chance we'll live longer and in better healthGetting old gracefully and healthy is attainable Magazine perfection is unattainableSo why not show more of this attainable dream
Because attainable doesn't sell!Unattainable sellsWe live in a bizarre world! What do I retain from this documentary? The world is not about to change just yetBut keep your sense of humor, be visible, spread the word,  and never give in!Big changes don't happen overnight
It takes timeThe important thing is to keep talking about itUntil then Keep in Mind the Good Stuff!
