Katana Police Sergeant Dismissed for Neglecting Duties During Easter Sunday Attacks

An Intelligence Unit Sergeant who was on duty at the Katana Police Station at the time of the Easter Sunday terror attacks has been dismissed from police service after it was confirmed that the officer had neglected his duties.

The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated that the order to dismiss this sergeant from the police service was issued by the police headquarters on June 14.

The Police Media Division further stated that a charge sheet had been issued under 12 charges of disciplinary violations and the IGP decided to dismiss the officer as he pleaded guilty to all those charges.
