By Foodisourreligion @food_religion
A thank you to Suzi Baker from Pokladot PR for delivering me packets of protein seeds from Kapai Puku, the seed of life. Seeds are a natural energy source so I hope these seeds can help give me an energy boosts at work during those long and painful hours in the afternoon at work. Hopefully my productivity may even increase LOL!

Bottom right: Taki Bar - ultimate in detox and weight loss
$17.60 for a pack of 5

Kapai Puku 'which is dubbed 'The Seed of Life' is a 100% raw and will help to cleanse and exfoliate your intestinal tract.'
The benefits of Kapi Puku Seeds include Omega 3, GM and gluten free, high in fibre, rich in complex carbohydrates, low in sugar and salt and are also high in protein. One of the good things about their seeds is that it can be used in many different recipes because it doesn't restrict your options of consuming it. One of the reasons why I dislike protein powder in general is because the most common way to have it is via a shakes and I personally am that big on shakes (I can see many glaring pairs of eyes after saying that!).

Taki Bar - Detox and weight loss bar with omega 3 from flaxseed and chia seeds

The taki bar is a post work out snack or an afternoon energy boost. It is bounded with inulin, a prebiotic that aids the digestive process. It is convenient as a snack on the go and can also be a recharge snack during the mid-afternoons when you have low levels of energy.  I am not sure if it works in terms of weight loss because I am not on any diet at the moment and the taki bar works best with a balanced diet of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Taste wise however could be improved; I personally think it would of tasted better if it was sweeter or if the bars had come in specific types of flavours such as chocolate or strawberry. Though that being said, it would probably alter the nutritional values and the effects of the bar itself.

Tribal blend seeds
450 grams - $17.95

Original Blend Seeds
450 grams - $15.50

Kapai Puku seeds come in three varieties: tribal, naked and original. The original and the tribal blend are fairly similar as they both predominately contain seeds. The tribal blend however is gluten free and contains a greater variety of seeds as well as raisins while the original blend is a pure seed energy. Both also contain Omega 3 from flaxseed and chia seeds.
All their seeds can be eaten in different ways. You can add it in cereals or porridges. You can also sprinkle it to your salads or even your savoury dishes (or cooked in a stir fry), baked in muffins, cookies and even desserts. That's a win win situation if you can make a healthy dessert just by adding those seeds  lol. For more specific recipes or ways to use the Kapai Puku seeds, click HERE.
In terms of taste, it tastes better than the taki bars because the flavor of the seeds can blended in with the dish in which you have added it to. The seeds are quite bland so you would definitely need to add it with some other ingredients. The downside is that if you may not be able to notice or see the differences as fast depending on the amount of seeds you put into each dish.
Personally, you would probably also need a balanced diet with daily servings of fresh fruit and vegetables for you to notice or feel the differences. Relying upon the seeds alone may not be as effective.
Currently these seeds are available for purchase online via their website by clicking HERE and ships all over Australia. Delivery time is approximately 2-3 days to capital cities and 3-7 days for regional areas.
Gotta go eat!!
