What a rock show from both the support band, Honduras, and Kaiser Chiefs. The former did an amazing job warming up the crowd with their their energetic performance, especially by their front man, whose vocals varied from loud and passionate, while throwing himself back and forth and at times to the floor, to a gentle tone with the slower songs. Their songs are short and have well composed melodies in classic punk style, where even their softer tunes keep the raw sound. I absolutely loved their show! They are definitely full of promise and I have high hopes for their future!

The fans, now ready with anticipation, received Kaiser Chiefs with a warm welcome. Ricky, the front man, kicked off the show with a bang, getting the crowd immediately going, weaving in some beautiful slow songs, then making everyone absolutely wild with tunes like “I Predict A Riot”, “Ruby”, “Never Miss A Beat” and “Everyday I Love You Less and Less”. Ricky’s love of performing and giving the fans a fantastic time was obvious, as he engaged the audience by making them sing along, clap, jump or raise their arms all at the same time.

While chatting to the crowd in between songs, he also then addressed a couple of people by name who he met prior to the show. It happened to be the guy’s birthday, so he dragged him up onto the stage and did a little dance with him, making his night and the crowds’. Towards the end, he walked through the masses of people, climbed a column, then made his way back to the stage, all the while singing and entertaining the hell out of everyone. I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced Kaiser Chiefs in such an intimate and beautiful venue as the Music Hall of Williamsburg!
