Justin Bieber’s latest album “Purpose ” debuts at No 1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. This is Bieber’s 6 No. 1 album. According to Billboard, the “Purpose” moved 649k equivalent album units in its first week, becoming the largest opening for an album since Billboard began tracking equivalent units in December 2014. It tops Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, which launched with 535,000 units.

Purpose sold 522,000 in physical copies, which is Bieber’s largest sales week ever. Purpose is the biggest sales week for an album since Taylor Swift’s 1989 debuted with 1.29 million last year. Justin should be really happy that he came out a week before Adele because she’s about to drop 2.5 million albums sold in one week, which is outstanding.
