Just Read It! Book Club: Our June Read

By Theliteraturelion @LiteratureLion
As you know, Bailey from the Novel Nerd and I are hosting a book club every month. Last month was a failure and we both went on a short hiatus for blogging. For the month of June we are both back and ready to start our book club up again! For more information about our book club, you can read our introduction posts here and here.

Since today is the first of June, we will be starting a new book for the book club. Generally we hold a poll to decide the book we read, but we took the liberty to just decide ourselves because of time constraints.

This month's book is: How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jessica Salvato Doktorski

First she lost her heart. Then she lost her mind. And now she’s on a road trip to win back her ex. This debut novel’s packed with drama and romance!
Rosie’s always been impulsive. She didn’t intend to set her cheating ex-boyfriend’s car on fire. And she never thought her attempts to make amends could be considered stalking. So when she’s served with a temporary restraining order on the first day of summer vacation, she's heartbroken -- and furious.

To put distance between Rosie and her ex, Rosie’s parents send her on a cross-country road trip with responsible, reliable neighbor Matty and his two friends. Forget freedom of the road, Rosie wants to hitchhike home and win back her ex. But her determination starts to dwindle with each passing mile. Because Rosie’s spark of anger? It may have just ignited a romance with someone new…
Now that we've released the book title, it's your job to go and read it within the next three weeks! Then you can follow this schedule for the rest of the month:
