Neal Boortz has given up on trying to use clever quips to emote his disdain for President Barack Obama, the black community and anything that goes against his “Libertarian” agenda. The self-proclaimed “High Priest of the Church of Painful Truth” has decided to let it be known that he is tired of his city of Atlanta being run down by graffiti-lovin’ urban thugs. You know because only urban thugs engage in such activities, except when they aren’t out carjacking, of course.

Before a commercial break on his syndicated radio show, Boortz launched into a tirade where he complained about Atlanta’s crime, the amount of urban thugs and how they are desecrating his city with graffiti. Even as the music started playing to signal Boortz to end his rant for a commercial break, the radio host would not be moved.

This city harbors an urban culture of violence. And I want you to look around. You drive into the city, the railroad overpasses on the down town connector – covered with graffiti. And that is an advertisement to everyone in this town that we don’t give a DAMN about those who would screw up our qualify of life around here. Welcome to Atlanta – here is some of our finest graffiti from some of our finest urban thugs and their gang signs. And we got too damn many urban thugs ruining the quality of life for everybody. And I tell you what it is going to take – you people, you need to have, a gun, a training, you need to know how to use that gun, you need to get a permit to carry that gun. You need to carry that gun and we need to see some dead thugs to litter the landscapes of Atlanta. We need to see the next guy who tries to carjack you, shot dead right where he stands. We need more dead thugs in this city. And let their momma say, ‘he was a good boy, he just fell in with a bad crowd’ and let them lock her ass up.

With Boortz being based in the South, it is of no surprise that he is allowed to get away with saying such things because of who makes up his key demographic. However, it doesn’t mean that he should use his privilege to push forward his racist rhetoric. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz spoke on Boortz’s outburst stating that “[Boortz] just advocated murder in the streets of Atlanta…reckless, stupid and a racist.”

Later, Schultz extended an invitation to Boortz to appear on his show.
