Hey lovelies! Let's chat about date outfits, shall we?
Don't let fashion magazines like Elle, Marie Claire or In Style fool you, there is 100% no such thing as the 'perfect' date/ date night outfit. With Valentine's Day that has just gone, I feel we all got quite bombarded with flatlays of red and pink dresses that 'promise' to impress your date. Don't get me wrong, I adore a bold and fearless little red dress. But there's simply no such thing as the 'surefire' winning date night dress. Styling is a form of expression of how you're uniquely you. If you feel comfortable and confident with what you're wearing to decorate your own soul, that is what truly makes you shine bright and leave a kickass impression!
So tell me lovelies, how do you feel about date outfits? Do you use styling as a way to express your genuine inner self? Or do you use it as a way to create another identity, perhaps to disguise as the type of person you want to become?
All these thoughts came into my mind when I was planning this lookbook photoshoot, which happened to be on the Valentine's Day with my loving husband being my awesome photographer. Editor's note: he's no celeb photographer but he's doing a better-than-average job after all these years of training I reckon!
It was a pure love-at-first-sight moment when I spotted this utterly cute number - the Lover Jumpsuit from a local Brisbane based label called Nine Lives Bazaar. She's oozing that 70s golden romance vibe with flowy, heavenly soft fabric in a very flattering cut - everything that a girl with a hippy soul has ever dreamed of really.
Let's fall in love, shall we?
