Jolly Rancher East Coast IPA – Strange Fellows Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Strange Fellows Brewing in Vancouver comes their "Jolly Rancher" an East Coast IPA. The beer pours a copper colour with a white head. The aroma consists of grapefruit rind, pineapple, tropical fruits, sweetness and floral hops in the finish. The flavour is of pineapple, grapefruit, grapefruit rind, mango, caramel with both mild resin and mild hops bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 6.7% with an IBU of 55. Like usual for East Coast IPA's this beer is very juicy with much less bitterness. I really enjoyed this one and am happy to see the continuation of the style in BC.

Commercial Description: This Vermont style IPA was brewed with a lineup of big fruity hop varieties from both hemispheres. Big and fruity like a Jolly Rancher with a soft finish.

Food pairing as per brewery: Salty fried foods, Indian Curry
