This October, join Neutrogena® Naturals brand ambassador Kristen Bell for the “Every Drop Counts” campaign. The campaign kicked off on October 2 when Kristen led a volunteer clean-up event at the Ballona Wetlands. This is the third year that Neutrogena will be partnering with the Nature Conservancy to ensure that clean water is available to all those who need it.
For the entire month of October 10% of the purchase price of all Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Cleansers sold will go to Nature Conservancy. Visit Facebook.com/Neutrogena and take the pledge to adopt simple water-conserving behaviors. By pledging, you will be automatically entered to win a luxury green spa trip in Napa Valley and weekly eco giveaways!
Check out some fun water facts:
- The “water footprint” of the average American is 32,911 glasses per day (accounting for water used to grow and make things we eat, wear and use, as well as water needed to generate energy for everyday activities)
- The amount of water wasted from U.S. homes could exceed more than 1 trillion gallons per year. That’s equivalent to the annual water use of Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami combined.
- If you cut down your shower in the morning to five minutes, you alone would save about 80 gallons of water a week and an average of 320 gallons of water a month.
- The average shower time in the U.S. is 7.5 minutes and uses up to 20 gallons of H2O!
If you haven’t already tried the Neutrogena Naturals line I strongly suggest that you do. I personally have tried the Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleaning + Makeup Remover and it is absolutely amazing! It completely takes off your makeup (even eye makeup) and leaves your face feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Here’s a fun fact about the Naturals line as a whole: the product line includes post-consumer recycled packaging – 70% less water was used to make it!
In addition to the perks of taking the pledge. Lex Loves Couture has its own giveaway going on! See below how to enter the chance to win a Beauty Prize Pack from Neutrogena!
