John Malkovich to Play Blackbeard in 'Crossbones'

Crossbones is the upcoming pirate-themed drama series that follows the life journey of the notorious pirate, Blackbeard. Reports suggested that Hugh Laurie from House will star as Blackbeard in this show. But, as it turns out that has been changed as the production team has officially picked up John Malkovich to play the role of Edward Teach (Blackbeard).
Malkovich is well-known for playing the role of a bad guy. I saw him first in Con Air, where he did an awesome job, followed by many other great role's. I'm sure he will do just as fine in Crossbones as well.
NBC picked up the first season of the show with 10 episodes, which is planned to air sometime this year.
