Star Wars star, John Boyega is executive producer of the upcoming crime thriller “God Is Good.”
The film, which is based in South Africa follows a fully reformed gangster who is now a pastor and a mercurial detective whose paths cross due to a random incident which also pits them against a dangerous gang boss.
Log in to use Ginger Limited mode film, whichBoyega who is currently shooting “Star Wars IX.” said: “I’m thrilled to be teaming once again with Josephine Rose on such a powerful and important story that explores themes of fathers and fatherhood, toxic masculinity, race and faith in a community that has become trapped in an unending cycle of violence and racial oppression, and where sometimes it seems for men that violence is the only way of achieving power,” according to Variety.
He has also launched a record label to produce the soundtrack for the film.
The film will start shooting this Spring.
