Job Bielefeld, Department of Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy at Bielefeld University invites applications for a fixed term position in philosophy of science effective from October 2014.
Requirements: Ph.D. in philosophy of science, an academic degree in a natural or social science, research publications (preferably peer reviewed).
The position is filled for three years with another three years in case of successful evaluation.
Payment: TV-L 13 (some 42,000 Euros gross at the lowest level).
Teaching: four hours per semester.
Proficiency in German should be sufficient to deal appropriately with administrative affairs and to take part in the academic life of the Department. Teaching can be done in English.
Applicants should send their CV, a three-page abstract of their dissertation, a writing sample (published or unpublished) up to 20 pages, and a research project.
