In reports, out of more than 100 million jio users only 22-27 million users have signed up for the happy new year plan which was expected up to 50%.

The Jio Prime membership plan allows users to extend the Happy New Year offer for a full year. It requires paying Rs 99 as a subscription fee, as well as a monthly Rs 303 for unlimited data (28 GB), capped at 1GB per day. However, there is a way to get that subscription fee waived off, as we reported earlier this month.

There is not any official news about it yet. Source say, there will be major announcement on the last day of subscription. So, it’s a good news if you have not signed up for the subscription yet. Wait till the last day & get it done if extension turns out to be a rumor.

Jio might change the membership plan & prices with the response they are receiving. The monthly subscription fees is quite higher for most of the Indian users since population using jio is mostly below middle class. Whatever announcement comes, there is no loss waiting for 4 days & getting subscription with better plans & benefits. Choose your plans wisely according to your usage.
