According to Fox5DC, local police have received reports of an active shooter on Howard University’s campus.

We're on the scene @HowardU for the report of an active shooter. So far nothing confirmed. Take precautions if in the area.

An anonymous call came in around noon today saying that a shooting had taken place near the 2400 block of 6th street.

Looks like this may have been somebody’s idea of a joke, but hopefully no one is hurt and there is no shooter. BOSSIP will bring you updates as more information becomes available.
