Jesus & Fundamentalists - Not The Same

I am not a religious person, and I'm not even sure that Jesus was a real person. But I was raised in a fundamentalist church, and graduated from a religious university. And I know that the Jesus of the Bible was nothing like the right-wing fundamentalists who claim to be his followers. I don't know where they get their strange beliefs, but they certainly didn't come from the teachings of Jesus.
