INTERVIEW!!!

Q: How long have you been a matchmaker and what do you love most about what you do?

A: My 20 year anniversary as a matchmaker was this year. I started in the industry when I was 25 years old, right after college and a layoff. I fell in love with helping people find love and the rest is history. What I love most is just knowing that what I do has a huge impact on someone life. As a matchmaker, I would love for the end result to always be love, but bringing two amazing people together enhancing their lives in other meaningful ways is still rewarding.

Q: What inspires you?

A: Life! Just knowing that I might not get the chance tomorrow, that this very moment could be my very last.

Q:Where do you think you will be after 25 years?

A: Hopefully alive… Still making love happen, enjoying life, traveling with my husband, my son and grandkids. I want to be a grandma someday.

Q: What do spend the most money on?

A: Other people, gifts (way more than I should), charity. It makes me feel good to give to other people. I am definitely a giver.

Q: What should every woman try at least once in her life?

A: Falling in love. There is no feeling in the world like it.

Q: Who are your heroes?

A: My parents and my husband.

Q: What quote do you live by?

A: Put your heart in everything you do and watch dreams happen. My heart is at the forefront of all my commitments and when it’s not I fail.

Q: What is the best gift you’ve ever received?

A: My son, Mikey

Q: When you’re not making love happen what fills your time?

A: I am always making love happen. But when I have downtime I try my best to balance it between spending my time with my family (My Boys) and my friends. Last year I was so focused on finishing my 2nd book, Memphis Mae, that my connections with friends took a back set to it. Although, I felt super guilty it was very necessary for me to stay focused. So, now that I am on a short hiatus from writing, I am making time for those connections that also help to give my life balance. Exercise, wine, dinner and fun concerts with my girlfriends. All the things I love.

Q: What advice would you give to other successful women trying to balance it all?

A: There’s no secret recipe, just like with love and relationships you have to do what works for you. I owe my success at balancing it all to my husband without him I would really struggle trying to find balance and not feel guilty about give less than to other parts of my life. Three pieces of advice I would give them is…

My youtube channel is

  1. No one is perfect: so don’t try to live up to other people’s expectations. Picking up pizza for your kids on the way home because you had to work late doesn’t make you a bad mom.
  2. Spend money and invest in things that will make your life easier: I have had a housekeeper for 14 years and I and I take all of my close to the the dry cleaners. Some might say friveless, I call it time management.
  3. Make yourself a priority: it’s not be selfish, it’s healthy necessary self-care.
